Lomond View Elementary is located in the heart of Pleasant View, Utah on the benches of the majestic Ben Lomond Peak. Lomond View is enthusiastic about student achievement due to the efforts of its approximately 650 students, 1300+ parents & Grandparents, 27 teachers & 18 support staff. This dedication is manifest in our performance in the top 10% of Weber School District on CORE, and other benchmark testing. Services provided include complete regular and resource education courses, counseling, speech therapy, and occupational and physical therapy is provided on an as-needed basis. Breakfast and lunch are served each day school is in session. As home of the Lions, we take pride in providing a safe learning environment where we help each other succeed, and consistently improve ourselves. The Lomond View Lions are a proud part of the Weber School District.

A few of the great opportunities students can choose to participate in include: Orchestra, Choir, Science Club, Math & Science Olympiad, Iron Kid competition, Chess Club, multiple service projects, Newberry Bingo Challenge, and new this year will be the Lego Robotics Club. Lomond View Elementary is committed to staying current on technology and best teaching practices. This year we finished purchasing interactive Smart Boards for every classroom, and staff members participated in over 1400 combined hours of professional development.

The school was originally constructed in 1959. Six additional classrooms and an enclosed ramp connecting the upper and lower concourses were added in 1967. In 1985, extensive modifications were made including the addition of a large gymnasium and storage areas, four new classrooms, a new media center, and an enlarged kitchen space. Spring of 2011 brought a new coat of paint and updated floor coverings to most of the common areas of the school and the Northern classrooms. Currently, the supportive Lomond View PTA is working on replacing the school’s marquee with a new, electronic version to better inform our parents and students of upcoming events.

Lakeview Elementary is located near the west gate of Hill Field AFB in Roy, Utah. – We are the home of the Leopards. We serve k-6 students in Roy who reside west of I-15 and east the Union Pacific railroad tracks from 4800 to 5600 South.

Our school provides full day kindergarten for all students and the average class size K-6 is 23 students.

Lakeview opened its’ doors in the fall of 1954 with just six classrooms and originally included students from the surrounding Roy area as well as Riverdale and the old Wilson school.

Lakeview serves approximately 460 students and employs 25 full-time teachers. We are a school-wide Title I School and provide additional academic support to students struggling in math and reading. In addition to our focus on reading and math instruction, Lakeview students also receive courses on character building: respect, responsibility, caring, trustworthiness, fairness and citizenship.

Lakeview Elementary is proud to be a Leader in Me school. Our faculty teaches the timeless principles of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and the 7 Habits of Happy Kids and everyone tries to apply these in every situation. The Leader in Me empowers students to be in charge of their daily actions and learning. The behavior problems have dropped dramatically because the students are given a chance to think about what they can do to fix the problem themselves, often choosing to perform kind acts of service.

In addition, every student at Lakeview benefits greatly from a broad range of leadership opportunities--from opportunities to lead tours, perform music, give speeches, serve the community, and implement their creative ideas, to assisting teachers in coordinating events at the school. Because of these wide range of leadership opportunities, the students have developed strong character, confidence, compassion, drive, and high standards of personal performance. We prepare our students to be leaders now so at home and at work they can become true leaders in their future, always concerned for the people around them.

Kanesville Elementary School is a Utah Elementary school with an enrollment of approximately 750 students. Kanesville is located in West Haven, Utah which is approximately 35 miles north of Salt Lake City, west of the Wasatch Mountains in northern Utah. The convergence of the Weber and Ogden Rivers is located inside the northeastern portion of the city. The city is bordered on the east by Ogden, on the south by Roy, on the west by Hooper, and on the north by Marriott-Slaterville. Kanesville Elementary is part of the Weber School District and includes grades Kindergarten through sixth grade with a Life Skills Unit. West Haven is a city in Weber CountyUtah. It was incorporated on July 1, 1991, combining theunincorporated communities of Kanesville and Wilson.

The first settlers in what would become Kanesville arrived in 1868. At the time the area was known as Northwest Hooper. Kanesville Elementary opened its doors in 1977 and still remains standing with a new addition added in 2009. A newsletter from the city's mayor in 2009 noted that West Haven was the fastest growing city in Utah in 2008. The predominant single-family home nature of the residential areas is being joined by more multi-story multi-family dwellings and condominiums. Some of the old rural nature survives in patches, including farm homes dating back well into the 19th Century, and there are still some working farms raising both crops and animals.

Kanesville Elementary feeds into Rocky Mountain Junior High and Fremont High School.

Freedom Elementary opened its doors in the fall of 2002 amidst a groundswell of patriotism (following the events of September 11th) and pride (as Utah prepared to host the Winter Olympics). 700 students, the first to be called Freedom Patriots, filled the hallways that first year with all the hopes, dreams and promise of our nation’s future.

From the beginning, the name “Freedom” has held special significance. To us, our school’s name is a reminder “of the values of diversity and liberty that we cherish and celebrate…it also represents the character traits of pride and nobility demonstrated by our founding fathers.” Those associated with our school feel a sense of responsibility, duty, and devotion that accompanies the privilege of being a Patriot, knowing our name has been born of service and sacrifice.

Built at a cost of $9,000,000 and sited on 15 acres on the eastern edge of Hooper, between 5500 South and Howard Slough, Freedom grew as rapidly as the neighborhood that surrounded it and soon swelled to over 900 students, prior to a boundary shift in 2009. Our current enrollment, which stands at 730, continues to grow, as the community fills in around us.

Our staff of 65 include: teachers, aides/paraprofessionals, secretaries, cooks, and custodians, along with a school counselor, media specialist, school nurse, speech/language pathologist, school crossing guards, and many other support personnel. In addition to our staff, we have many other school community members, who are vital to helping our students learn and grow. These include: Foster Grandparents, the Freedom PTA, School Community Council, our community business partners, along with approximately 50-70 other volunteers who are helping in our classrooms, reading center, and throughout the school on a daily basis.

In addition to providing comprehensive, core curriculum-based learning to students in kindergarten through 6th grade, we also provide differentiated instruction and special education services, including services to students with severe needs in our functional life skills classroom.

Country View was built in 1979 in, what was at that time, open space, hence the name. Since that time, many subdivisions have been created and we are now in the heart of several great communities. Over 550 students, from three different areas, (Hooper, Roy, and West Haven) attend school at Country View, which includes grades K-6. We also have two sessions of Head Start. With 26 teachers and a wonderful staff, we are very much a student-centered school. After graduating 6th grade our students attend Rocky Mountain Jr. High, and then Freemont High to finish their education in the Weber School District.

We are highly focused on reading and math, along with the other essential subjects that will help our students succeed in life. We are technologically competitive, with two computer labs; and a document camera and SMART board or slate in every classroom. We work hard to ensure that all students are safe and secure, and to help them gain confidence and knowledge in order to flourish in their educational pursuits.

Our mantra is “Taking Pride in All You Do,” which stresses to the students to do their best. Our mascot is the Colt which represents a strong will. We are very focused on being “green.” Recycling and planting trees are part of our charge. We are very proud of the students and faculty at our school, and we continue to strive together toward our goal of excellence in education and sound preparation for success throughout life.
