Accounting II
Description
Students will develop advanced skills that build upon those acquired in Accounting I. Additional accounting skills such as reconciling uncollectible accounts, calculating depreciation on assets, interpreting financial information, and calculating notes and interest will be developed. Computerized accounting will again be incorporated as an essential tool where resources are available.

Students will develop skill beginning with an understanding of the basic elements and concepts of double-entry accounting systems. Skills will include a knowledge of the accounting cycle, entering transactions in journals, posting to ledgers, compiling end-of-period worksheets, adjusting and payroll systems, and writing and communication examples. Proficiency of automated accounting procedures is encouraged.

Aerospace Engineering
Description
The major focus of the course is to expose students to the world of aeronautics, flight, and engineering. Students will be introduced to the PLTW activity-based, project-based, and problem-based learning through exploring the world of aerospace engineering. Students should have experience in physics, mathematics, and technology education. They will employ engineering and scientific concepts in the solution of aerospace problems. The entire curriculum sequence will include experiences from the diverse fields of Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, and related areas of study. Lessons will engage students in engineering design problems related to aerospace information systems, astronautics, rocketry, propulsion, the physics of space science, space life sciences, the biology of space science, principles of aeronautics, structures and materials, and systems engineering.
