We want to congratulate our own Jaron Sever, a Gateway / Construction teacher at Rocky Mountain Jr. High for being named a finalist for America's Top Teacher!  Jaron is a dedicated, talented teacher who puts kids first.  We are fortunate to have him as part of our team and grateful for his caring and passionate approach to not only developing skills in young people but inspiring their hearts and minds.

People can vote for their favorite teacher once per day for free on the competition’s website, https://americasfavteacher.org/2024/jaron-sever, or buy additional votes with a donation. Every Thursday, the list of candidates is reduced. As of late Thursday afternoon, Sever was in sixth place of 10. The competition had originally started with 100 teachers selected. The top five vote-getters will advance beyond Friday. The competition lasts through May 30.

According to the contest’s website, the winner will received $25,000, a trip to Hawaii and appear in an issue of Reader’s Digest. Make sure to vote for Jaron, and learn more about Jaron in the Standard Examiner's article!

We are pleased to announce that Jeffrey Moore, K-12: Teaching as a Profession teacher at Roy Junior High has been selected as the December 2023 CTE Teacher of the Month. “Jeff Moore went into education for all of the right reasons and is focused on building young people above all else. He loves what he does and connects with students at all academic levels. Jeff represents all that is good about education and teaching.”
