Exciting news from Mrs. Mumford’s second-grade class—our chicks have hatched! After 21 suspenseful days of waiting (and lots of peeking into the incubator), 12 out of 14 eggs have officially joined our class on March 19!
The students are over-the-moon excited to hold their fluffy new friends and can’t wait to teach the first graders everything they’ve learned about raising chickens. Who knew second grade came with a crash course in farming? Maybe they can do something about egg prices!

Our 2nd graders had a lot of fun at the annual Weber State Storytelling Festival! Check out the FREE evening events for families February 24-26.

The second grade had fun celebrating Chinese New Year! They even got to try eating school lunch with chopsticks.

All of our students are loving learning to bowl! Thanks to our PTA and your generous donations at the Fun Run in September, each grade gets a chance to roll a strike at Ben Lomond Lanes.

WSD Child Nutrition urges all families to apply for free and reduced lunch because every application helps support our schools’ efforts to provide essential services to students. Application is available online beginning July 15.
