To schedule the center for the current school year, look through the "Day's Still Available" page. Find an open date or dates that suit your needs. Then call Roxie Sianez, 801-476-7877, at the District Office to get your date(s) reserved.
Scheduling for the next school year begins March 1 and is on a first come first served basis. Notification of next year's schedule is sent out to all applicants in May. After May 1st, check the "Days Still Open" page for available dates and then call Roxie Sianez, 801-476-7877 or to get your date(s) reserved. Grouips outside the school district may begin scheduling dates after Sept. 15 of each year.
Field trips to the Center are all about helping kids have a powerful and fun learning experience. The Center is a place where students can be out in a mountain environment to see and feel the interactions there. It is a place where students can be challenged with fun and exciting activities they will remember for a lifetime.
Field trips also aim to build teamwork and cooperation and to allow students to discover new things about themselves and their abilities.
To accomplish these objectives we must limit the number of people at the Center at one time. Maximum group size target is 80 people.
The Environmental Center has materials and equipment to help you engage your students during your time at the Center.
Below is a list of available materials:

Swanson's North Fork Environmental Center is dedicated to providing a safe outdoor experience for students K-12, helping them understand core curriculum. Consider it your destination field trip spot.
The Environmental Center will be a facility and a setting for all students to safely learn about the workings of nature, about themselves, and to build positive relationships with each other and the natural world.
Walk the half mile from the parking lot and leave the world of classrooms behind.
Prepare yourself along the way to be part of the natural world.
Experience the joy of learning in nature's laboratory.
Serving grades K-12 the Center provides a central lodge with kitchen, dining and restroom facilities. In addition the cook will feed you well and the teacher/facilitator is there to see your stay is wonderful and worthwhile. Equipment for activities year round is available at the Center.
The Center provides a gem of a spot for a fine field trip, with fun and great memories, as well as reinforcing core concepts outlined in the Utah State Core Curriculum across many different subject areas.
