The following dates, related to open enrollment, are set within the parameters of the statute:
NOVEMBER 2021 –
The principal of a school that is requiring a new open enrollment application for incoming 7th or 10th grade students must notify parents by mail that they must re-apply to continue at the next level school.
DECEMBER 1, 2021 through FEBRUARY 18, 2022 –
The Open Enrollment Application is available at all schools/online (wsd.net – Departments – Student Services – Open Enrollment) and accepted at designated “open enrollment” schools during this application time frame.
MARCH 14, 2022 –
Withdrawal provision for students already attending under previous acceptance. The school will notify parents of students who will not be permitted to continue enrollment in the non-resident school.
MARCH 30, 2022 –
By this date, parent/student are generally notified of acceptance or denial.
