Farr West 2nd grade does a learning unit on the book "The Wild Robot" by Peter Brown, which incorporates both literature and STEM. In the book the robot has to take care of an egg. At the end of the unit each student in the grade creates something to protect their egg. Students make predictions and collect data as the teachers drop each grade from the roof.
